In this role, you will:

  • Deliver an exceptional onboarding experience that helps every new employee feel welcomed, informed, and prepared for success.
  • Champion an outstanding candidate and new hire experience by providing timely communication, anticipating needs, and ensuring every interaction reflects the Texas Children's culture of excellence.
  • Coordinate pre-employment activities, including onboarding appointments, employment documentation, background screenings, health clearances, and orientation scheduling.
  • Partner with recruiters, hiring leaders, Employee Health, Employee Relations, and other HR teams to ensure a smooth, compliant, and efficient onboarding process.
  • Guide new hires through employment paperwork, including I-9 verification and onboarding requirements, while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and organizational policies.
  • Coordinate and support New Employee Orientation by managing registrations, communications, attendance, and follow-up activities.
  • Process employee transactions, including new hires, internal transfers, and other HR-related changes with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted resource by responding to questions from candidates, employees, recruiters, and leaders with professionalism and outstanding customer service.
  • Ensure every step of the onboarding process is completed with exceptional attention to detail, maintaining compliance while delivering a seamless and personalized experience.
  • Perform audits and quality reviews to verify the accuracy of employee records, onboarding documentation, and HR transactions.
  • Support recruitment events, hiring fairs, and other Talent Acquisition initiatives as needed.
     

We're looking for someone who has:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of administrative, onboarding, Human Resources, or related experience preferred.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive candidate and employee experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and compliance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS or applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
