Talent Acquisition Onboarding Specialist
Hybrid | Part Time (20 hrs) | San Diego, CA
Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour*
*Actual compensation within this range will be determined by factors including experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and other job-related considerations permitted by law.
As a Talent Acquisition Onboarding Specialist, you will create a seamless, engaging, and compliant onboarding experience for new Team Members from offer acceptance through their first day and beyond. This role partners closely with Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, IT, Payroll, and other internal stakeholders to ensure onboarding activities are completed accurately and on time. By delivering an exceptional new hire experience, you'll help improve engagement, accelerate productivity, and support long-term Team Member retention.
What You'll Do

Coordinate and manage end-to-end onboarding activities for new hires, including pre-boarding, compliance requirements, orientation preparation, and first-day readiness.

Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and new Team Members, providing guidance and support throughout the onboarding process.

Initiate, monitor, and ensure completion of background screenings, employment documentation, I-9 verification, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Partner with Talent Acquisition, hiring managers, IT, Payroll, and other internal teams to ensure onboarding timelines, training schedules, and system access needs are met.

Maintain accurate onboarding records and updates within Dayforce while tracking onboarding progress and supporting reporting and analysis of onboarding metrics.

Identify and implement process improvements that enhance onboarding efficiency, compliance, and the overall new hire experience while supporting culture-building initiatives and orientation programs.
What You'll Bring

Minimum of two years of administrative experience required; experience in HR, onboarding, talent acquisition, or employee experience strongly preferred.

Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a passion for delivering an outstanding candidate and new hire experience.

Experience working with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with HRIS, ATS, onboarding platforms, and Dayforce HCM preferred.
