Full job details
What if your next job came with real variety, real relationships, and a real path forward? At ACA International, our Account Coordinator role is built for someone who wants to grow, not just perform. You'll work across a dynamic portfolio of association clients, building skills in communications, event coordination, membership services, governance support, and more. Every client is different, which means every day brings something new to learn and a new problem to solve.
You'll be mentored by experienced association management professionals who are genuinely invested in your success. As you build confidence and client knowledge, you'll take on greater ownership with a long-term pathway toward full client leadership. If you're looking for a role where your contributions are visible, your growth is supported, and the work is never boring — this is it.
What You'll Do
Client responsibilities vary by organization and time of year. No single client will require all of these activities at once, and many tasks are cyclical or project-based rather than daily. The Account Coordinator will juggle a portfolio of clients, some of whom may have overlapping needs and timelines.
Member & Stakeholder Services Serve as the primary point of contact for client volunteers and members. Handle inbound communications via phone, email, and online platforms with professionalism and care. Support membership applications, renewals, and retention marketing efforts.
Communications & Digital Presence Coordinate member-facing communications including newsletters, broadcast emails, website updates, social media, and LinkedIn groups. Help develop and maintain editorial calendars to keep client communications consistent and on schedule.
Meetings, Events & Webinars Support end-to-end logistics for board meetings, member events, conferences, seminars, and online training — including scheduling, speaker and agenda coordination, promotional materials, CRM setup, on-site support, and budget management.
Sponsorship & Exhibits Assist with sponsorship and exhibit programs, including prospectus creation, application processing, collateral ordering, and sponsor communications and logistics.
Governance & Committee Support Coordinate board and committee operations including scheduling, agenda preparation, meeting materials, and minutes. Serve as a liaison for select committees and support volunteer engagement and coordination.
Reporting & Administration Support budgeting processes, review monthly financial reports, and assist with drafting, editing, and proofreading correspondence, membership reports, and annual or quarterly materials. Maintain database records and manage scholarship programs from application through award.
What We're Looking For
- Strong customer or member services background — You know how to make people feel heard, supported, and well-served
- Independent and resourceful — You can take clear direction and run with it, solving problems without needing to be walked through every step
- Detail-oriented and highly organized — You keep multiple balls in the air without dropping any, and you catch the small issues before they become big ones
- Critical thinker — You identify issues early, research options, and bring solutions — not just problems
- Collaborative and adaptable — You work well with internal teams, external clients, and volunteers across different organizations
- Growth-minded — You're looking for a role where you can build expertise, deepen client relationships, and grow professionally over time
Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years in customer or member services, association management, meeting planning, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading
- Comfortable working with membership databases or CRM systems (experience a plus, not required)
- Familiarity with nonprofit organizations or the credit and collection industry is a bonus
- Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 1–3 times per year)
Remote work environment with some in office days
