Technical Account Manager

Position Summary 

The Technical Account Manager is responsible for managing customer relationships and supporting business development within an assigned region while serving as a local technical resource for DESIGNA customers. 

This role combines account management, business development, and technical support. The Technical Account Manager maintains regular contact with customers, identifies opportunities to expand DESIGNA’s business, provides Level 1 and Level 2 technical support both remotely and in the field, and serves as a liaison between customers and DESIGNA’s remote support and technical teams. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers within the assigned region.  

• Maintain regular customer engagement and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.  

• Conduct customer site visits and maintain an active presence throughout the territory.  

• Manage the regional support ticket queue and serve as the primary escalation point for complex tickets and customer issues. 

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support both remotely and in the field.  

• Troubleshoot customer issues and escalate more complex issues to the appropriate technical resources.  

• Maintain ownership and customer communication on escalated issues through resolution.  

• Identify business development opportunities within existing accounts and throughout the assigned territory.  

• Support sales activities, including system expansions, upgrades, products, and services.  

• Coordinate with Sales, Service, Support, Engineering, and other internal teams to address customer needs.  

• Maintain accurate records of customer activity, opportunities, technical issues, and follow-up.  

• Provide support to other regions as business needs require.  

Qualifications 

• 3+ years of experience in technical account management, technical support, field service, sales, or a similar customer-facing technical role.  

• Strong customer relationship and communication skills.  

• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate resolution across teams.  

• Strong business acumen and ability to identify sales opportunities.  

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple customers and priorities.  

• Parking technology, PARCS, access control, or related industry experience preferred.  

• Ability to travel regularly within the assigned region.
