Position Summary

The Account Coordinator supports the Sales & Procurement teams in managing customer and vendor transactions and relationships for EarthFresh, with a regional focus on Idaho‑based customers and supply programs. This role is responsible for coordinating customer activity, supporting sales execution, and ensuring strong communication between customers, Sales, Procurement, and Operations.

This position is ideal for an early‑career professional looking to build a foundation in sales, procurement, account management, and produce industry operations, with exposure to pricing, forecasting, customer service, and market dynamics within the potato and root vegetable categories.

Key Responsibilities

Account & Sales Support

  • Support Account Managers in managing assigned customer accounts, including day‑to‑day communication and coordination.
  • Assist with sales order entry, confirmations, pricing updates, and promotional execution.
  • Help track sales performance, volumes, and customer activity against established goals.
  • Participate in identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and support new business initiatives.

Customer Communication & Service

  • Serve as a point of contact for routine customer inquiries related to orders, availability, pricing, and delivery.
  • Proactively communicate order status updates, product changes, and discrepancies to customers.
  • Ensure customer issues are documented, escalated when needed, and resolved in a timely manner.

Regional & Market Support (Idaho /West US Focus)

  • Support regional Idaho customers and programs by coordinating information related to product availability, growing seasons, and supply conditions.
  • Assist in gathering and sharing market insights related to crop conditions, quality, and volume expectations.
  • Work closely with regional teams to support customer and grower engagement activities.

Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Procurement and Operations teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and alignment between customer demand and product supply.
  • Assist with forecasting and market updates by compiling internal data and customer feedback.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to Sales and Procurement teams as needed.

Product & Market Learning

  • Develop working knowledge of potato and root vegetable categories serving retail and/or foodservice customers.
  • Learn pricing structures, market trends, and customer requirements through on‑the‑job experience and mentoring.

Industry & Team Support

  • Support attendance and preparation for customer meetings, grower visits, and industry events.
  • Represent EarthFresh / Mountain King professionally in all customer and internal interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of sales and commercial objectives.

 

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.

Experience & Skills

  • 1–5 years of experience in sales support, account coordination, customer service, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience in the fresh produce industry or perishable goods supply chain.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with a willingness to learn.
  • Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with inventory or ERP systems is an asset.
  • Flexibility in working hours; ability and willingness to travel within the U.S. and Canada as required.
