Recruiter / Onboarding Specialist

Allpoints Surveying is seeking a Recruiter & Onboarding Specialist that plays a key role in supporting the organization’s talent acquisition and employee onboarding efforts. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day recruiting process for assigned field, operational, and corporate positions while ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for both candidates and new hires. The Recruiter & Onboarding Specialist will partner closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, attract and evaluate qualified candidates, coordinate interviews, facilitate offers, and guide selected candidates through the onboarding process. 

 Responsibilities   

• Manage full-cycle recruitment from job requisition through candidate selection, offer, and acceptance, ensuring a timely and professional hiring process.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, qualifications, and hiring priorities.
• Source and attract qualified candidates through job boards, Allpoints’ Applicant Tracking System (ATS), social media, networking, career fairs, colleges, and other recruiting channels.
• Build and maintain qualified candidate pipelines for current and anticipated staffing needs, including both active and passive candidates.
• Coordinate the interview and selection process, including scheduling interviews, preparing interview materials, and facilitating communication between candidates and hiring managers.
• Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies based on role requirements, industry practices, labor market conditions, and organizational needs, while supporting Allpoints’ employer brand.
• Manage the offer process, including determining appropriate compensation within Allpoints’ compensation structure, preparing and extending employment offers, and partnering with other HR staff and hiring managers as needed.
• Conduct pre-employment screening and verification, including background checks, credential verification, and drug screening, as applicable.
• Coordinate the onboarding process from offer acceptance through the employee’s start date, ensuring all required steps, documentation, and approvals are completed accurately and on time. 
• Maintain accurate new-hire records and documentation in the HRIS and ensure completion of required employment forms, agreements, and onboarding requirements.
• Coordinate new-hire logistics and orientation, including start dates, orientation schedules, meeting locations, travel, accommodations, and communication of next steps to new employees and hiring managers.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience handling all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is required.
• Experience with sourcing, candidate screening, interview coordination, and recruiting processes.
• Experience with Paylocity HRIS, ATS, or other recruiting systems.
• Experience using LinkedIn, Indeed, and other job boards.
• Experience recruiting in a blue-collar, skilled-trade, surveying, construction, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, field-services, or similar environment.
• Experience with background checks, drug screening, employment documentation, and new-hire orientation. 
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
• Is confident and comfortable in holding self and others accountable to time-to-fill and time-to-hire metrics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.

Working Conditions

This role follows a five-day (5) workweek in the Houston office from Monday to Friday, with eligibility to work a hybrid schedule upon meeting requirements.
