Technical Account Manager

Job Summary

Morris Technology Solutions is seeking a Technical Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with our existing MSP clients as their trusted technical advisor while closing referred and warm-introduced sales opportunities. You will be the person clients call when they need guidance and the person we put in the room when a new opportunity comes in.

This position is intentionally hands-on and client-facing. It is a strong fit for someone who wants to own a book of business, carry a number, and grow into senior client and sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the relationship for a portfolio of MSP clients and serve as their primary business contact and trusted advisor.

• Lead recurring Technical Business Reviews (TBRs), walking client leaders through environment health, roadmap, budget, risk, and upcoming needs while translating technology into business outcomes.

• Partner with our technical team to scope, quote, and deliver hardware, upgrades, and projects. Understand pricing, cost, and margin across the tools we use.

• Drive adoption of MTS standards across security, backup, and compliance to reduce client risk and reactive support time.

• Identify and close expansion opportunities inside existing accounts through cross-sell and up-sell.

• Own client satisfaction, retention, and renewals. Get ahead of issues before they escalate and engage the right internal resources when they do.

• Keep account activity, notes, and documentation current in Halo PSA and HubSpot.

• Own the full sales process for referred and warm-introduced prospects, from first meeting to signed agreement.

• Run discovery and needs assessments, then work with the technical team to build right-sized proposals and pricing.

• Present solutions in person and be the face of MTS in the room.

• Manage your pipeline and follow-up cadence in HubSpot. Time your outreach around prospect contract renewals to catch them at the right moment.

• Build referral relationships and represent MTS in the community through networking, events, and local sponsorships in our target market.

• Hand off newly closed clients cleanly to onboarding and service delivery for a smooth start.

• Collaborate daily with the technical and service team on quotes, scoping, and escalations.

• Partner with the MSP Manager and ownership on growth priorities and target segments.

• Coordinate with vendors in our stack on pricing, solutions, and client issue resolution.

• Contribute in our EOS/L10 team meetings to sharpen processes, tools, and playbooks.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in direct B2B sales, account management, or client success.

• Working familiarity with the technologies and services MSPs typically provide, including managed IT and help desk, networking, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity and compliance basics, VoIP, and software licensing.

• Comfortable using CRM and quoting tools efficiently and keeping them accurate and current.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust with owners and executives and explain technical topics in plain language.

• San Antonio-based with the ability to work in-office and travel to client sites across the metro.

• A self-starter who thrives with ownership, visibility, and a fast-growing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within IT services or a Managed Services Provider (MSP).
