Full job details

This is not a hands-on-keyboard troubleshooting role, but rather an opportunity to be the principal technical voice and customer advocate, working proactively to craft strategies that drive adoption of AWS services including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, and more. Your technical acumen and communication skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within customer environments and lead discussions with senior leadership on architecture, trade-offs, and risk management.

Key job responsibilities
Research and analyze technical, operational, and financial details to understand customer business drivers, key dependencies, and performance indicators, representing this perspective in strategic discussions.
Design cloud architecture solutions that meet infrastructure and application requirements while applying the AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars to optimize reliability, security, performance, and cost.
Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help customers plan and build solutions using best practices, proactively keeping AWS environments operationally healthy and resilient
Craft and execute strategies to drive customer adoption of AWS services, balancing trade-offs and solving difficult technical challenges in partnership with engineering and service teams.
Deliver executive-level presentations and technical briefings that effectively communicate architecture recommendations, risk management approaches, and strategic cloud adoption patterns.

A day in the life
The close relationships you develop with your customers will allow you to understand their business and operational needs as well as their technical challenges, enabling you to help them achieve the greatest value from AWS. You'll engage with cross-functional teams to see customer issues through to resolution, while spending most of your time working proactively on strategic initiatives. Your days will include executive briefings, architecture reviews, and collaborative sessions where you translate complex technical concepts into actionable guidance that aligns with business objectives.

About the team
You'll join a collaborative and engaging team of technical thought leaders who serve as trusted advisors to enterprise customers. The team combines deep technical expertise with strong customer focus, working together to solve complex challenges and support one another's growth. As part of AWS Global Services, you'll be part of an organization that includes experts from across AWS who help customers design, build, operate, and secure their cloud environments.
Basic Qualifications: - 4+ years of design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience
- 4+ years of technical engineering experience Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment
- Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
