Renewals Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, commercially minded Renewals Manager to own and drive the successful renewal of an assigned portfolio of North American customers.

In this customer-facing role, you will build strong relationships, understand customer business objectives, reinforce the value of their Copado partnership, and lead renewal conversations through successful closure.  You will own a 120-day rolling renewal forecast, proactively identify and mitigate retention risks, and partner closely with Sales and Customer Success to protect recurring revenue and deliver a positive customer experience.

Success requires strong communication, commercial judgment, disciplined execution, and a genuine commitment to helping customers realize continued value from Copado.

What You'll Do

• Own Renewal Outcomes: Manage assigned renewal opportunities from initial engagement through negotiation and closure, maximizing recurring revenue retention and minimizing preventable churn.
• Engage Customers Proactively: Initiate and lead customer calls and discovery conversations to understand business priorities, assess renewal intentions, uncover risks, and establish clear, mutually agreed next steps.
• Reinforce Customer Value: Partner with Customer Success to understand adoption and business outcomes, helping customers connect Copado's capabilities to their business objectives and justify continued investment.
• Manage Your Forecast: Own and continuously manage a 120-day rolling renewal forecast, using customer-validated commitments, identified risks, and actionable next steps to drive forecast accuracy and predictability.
• Identify and Mitigate Risk: Proactively address potential churn, contraction, and renewal delays by developing actionable mitigation plans and engaging appropriate stakeholders.
• Lead Commercial Negotiations: Prepare renewal proposals, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and navigate customer objections to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Build Customer Relationships: Develop relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and economic buyers to support successful renewal decisions.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and Finance to align renewal strategies, resolve challenges, and identify expansion opportunities.
• Maintain Operational Discipline: Keep CRM opportunities accurate and current, including forecast status, renewal amounts, close dates, customer risks, and next steps.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Contribute insights and best practices that strengthen customer engagement, renewal execution, and revenue predictability.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• You have 3+ years of experience in SaaS renewals, account management, or a customer-facing revenue role, with a demonstrated ability to retain recurring revenue.
• You proactively engage customers, lead meaningful discovery conversations, and build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
• You can confidently communicate business value, navigate customer objections, and negotiate commercial agreements that support successful renewals.
• You have experience managing renewal opportunities and revenue forecasts, with a disciplined approach to identifying risks, documenting next steps, and maintaining CRM accuracy.
• You thrive in a cross-functional environment, collaborating effectively with Sales, Customer Success, and other internal stakeholders to achieve customer and business outcomes.
• You are highly organized, self-directed, and accountable, with the ability to independently manage a portfolio of renewal opportunities and consistently drive them toward successful closure.

Compensation for this role will vary based on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Pay ranges are not necessarily representative of starting salaries for all locations. In addition to our outstanding benefits package, eligible full-time employees may also qualify for Copado's equity program.

Copado's pay ranges reflect On Target Earnings (OTE), which encompasses base salary, bonuses, and/or commissions for meeting 100% of set targets.

The pay range for this role is:

$118,000 - $135,000 USD per year
