POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for the coordination and management of all renewal tasks both internally and externally. Working in tandem with Underwriting, this individual will serve as a point of contact for brokers and direct clients requesting quotes and or renewal coordination support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for managing renewal activities for multiple product lines and reinsurance carriers
Delivers all necessary reporting to reinsurance carriers for prospect/new client and renewal quotes
Conducts QA of renewal application against signed renewal & pricing sheets
Creates & distributes renewal packages, letters and internal plan change / renewal forms
Coordinates follow up to ensure timely and successful outcomes
Renewal resource for account management, customer service, and eligibility units
Manages and tracks all renewal activity from brokers and direct clients
Audits direct carrier case submissions to ensure all Underwriting requirements are met
Maintains & reports an accurate rolling 90 day forecast of upcoming renewals
Establishes and maintains excellent business relationships with internal and external business units
Provides excellent customer support via phone and email
Recommends ideas and changes for process improvements
Research, audits, and reporting projects as assigned
WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE TEAM:
Data analysis and manipulation experience within a various carrier databases
Ability to assess information and generate complex proposals using carrier rate data
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Familiarity with benefit carrier rate charts
Extremely meticulous with a high degree of accuracy
Quick to learn, and able to thoroughly understand new concepts
Good with numbers and error checking, as well as have a good intuition of when something looks wrong
Willing to bring problems and suggestions to management's attention
Comfortable working with large quantities of data
In depth knowledge of Group health, life, dental and STD products required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office a must.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), plus 2-3 years related experience and 3-4 years minimum in healthcare preferred.
