Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as necessary as customer demands could cause staff to work outside normal business operating hours.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Account Coordinator will be responsible for many of the details around our daily freight movements.  Including but not limited to setting pick and delivery appointments, tracking and tracing freight, and involved in A/R and A/P functions.   The Account Coordinator is interacting with our customers, carriers, and vendors daily to ensure all accurate details of loads are entered for successful execution of freight movements. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Working with Administrative personnel on A/R and A/p.
  • Acting as the point of contact for carriers on payment issues and customer on recievables.
  • Paperwork on processing of carrier's invoice and POD to ensure proper payment to carriers and billing customers.
  • Setting pickup and delivery appointments via phone, email, or customer portal.
  • Sharing workload answering the phone, screening calls, and passing to the appropriate party.
  • Available to receive delegation of various business-related tasks from Operations Manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in an office setting.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUAIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience within freight brokerage operations
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet
  • Excellent Knowledge of Freight Forwarding and regulatory requirements with at least 1 year in industry
  •  

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor s degree preferred in supply chain, business, or combination of experience/education
  • Experienced with load boards
