Job Type: Hourly, part-time, non-exempt, fixed term position
Hourly rate: $30-35/hour DOE

Location: Requires California residency and in-office work in Redwood City, CA (later in San Mateo, CA). Residency within the County of San Mateo or Los Banos strongly preferred.

Peninsula Clean Energy is a dynamic, not-for-profit governmental organization that seeks a part-time administrative "utility player" to work with several teams in a dedicated administrative and customer support function through the end of 2026. Ideal for students and community members interested in engaging with the public and our community around rebates applications and customer assistance.
This position provides administrative and customer support to several teams as needs evolve during the remainder of the year. Initially, this position will provide dedicated support for our energy programs, with primary responsibility for responding to customer emails, assisting customers via chat, and processing e-bike rebate applications. The role will also support miscellaneous programs as needed, ensuring timely application review, accurate documentation within the CRM system, and consistent, clear communication with customers.
Later in the year, this position will assist the Office and Administrative team with logistics related to our upcoming office move.
Responsibilities:
- Learn PCE programs, effectively support customer inquiries, and troubleshoot issues.
- Utilize technology platforms to track customer interactions, maintain detailed records, and ensure accurate process execution.
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely follow-up of all customer interactions
- Respond to customer emails in a timely, professional manner, providing accurate information and clear next steps.
- Assist the Office and Administrative team with logistics related to our upcoming office move.
- Demonstrate computer literacy, including proficiency in Windows-based operating systems, MS Office applications, CRM systems, and web-based platforms.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
- Familiarity with Peninsula Clean Energy and its offerings is a plus
- Familiarity with office or facilities/workplace management logistics a plus
- Experience with community outreach, education, or customer relations is a plus
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Tagalog a plus
- Valid California drivers license

- Ability to carry 30 pounds, including transporting and carrying large bulky items such as a 10’ canopy or 10’ folding table
