What is an Account Manager at Salt?


An Account Manager at Salt is a strategic integrator and client partner who is at the heart of delivering impactful work. You lead mid-to-large programs with confidence, clarity, and care, ensuring the work stays aligned to client goals, agency standards, and project momentum.


You operate with a mindset of shared leadership: forging strong relationships across Creative, Operations and Production, and helping teams stay focused on the –d behind the work. You’re not just managing scopes and timelines, you’re shaping conversations, navigating complexity, and stewarding both the client experience and the health of the work.


As a key contact for day-to-day client communications, you’re proactive, prepared, and always looking one step ahead. You ask sharp questions, connect dots across workstreams, and create clarity in fast-moving environments. Your approach combines strategic thinking, empathetic communication, and steady execution.


In this role, you move beyond managing workstreams to leading full programs, ensuring internal teams are aligned, clients feel supported, and projects maintain both momentum and strategic focus.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow trusted client relationships by acting as a strategic partner, ensuring clear, timely, and forward-thinking communication that fosters alignment and momentum.
  • Co-own with Production day-to-day leadership of mid-to-large programs or multi-workstream initiatives, confidently navigating from brief to execution while keeping the client experience and business objectives at the center.
  • Translate client goals into clear action by driving internal alignment, presenting work with context and purpose, and facilitating timely and thoughtful feedback loops.
  • Act as a strategic steward of the work, partnering with Creative, Operations, and Production to ensure all deliverables ladder up to the brief and meet Salt’s standards of excellence.
  • Maintain clarity across workstreams by tracking timelines, deliverables, and key decisions, ensuring teams stay focused and informed at every stage.
  • Own key communications touchpoints, including meeting agendas, project recaps, and EOW summaries. Ensure documentation and decks are clear, current, and client-ready.
  • Proactively identify risks and solve for them early, maintaining a calm and solutions-oriented approach under pressure.
  • Contribute to new business efforts by bringing a client-centric and strategic perspective to pitch narratives, responses, and proposals.
  • Uphold the quality of the work with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to delivering thoughtful, intentional experiences.
  • Champion a collaborative and communicative team culture, modeling shared leadership by sharing context, feedback, and support generously across disciplines.
  • Support the growth of junior account team members by sharing context, providing guidance, and helping build strong account management fundamentals.


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in an agency or client-side marketing role, with a strong background in experiential, brand, or integrated campaign work
  • Proven ability to lead client relationships and drive successful delivery across complex, multi-workstream programs
  • Strategic communicator who can translate ideas across disciplines, manage feedback loops, and keep both internal teams and clients aligned
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a reputation for reliability and precision, able to manage ambiguity without losing momentum
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to strategic planning, creative development, and organic account growth
  • Self-directed and solutions-oriented, while thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where shared leadership is the norm
