In this role, you will work with a key government customer to provide hands-on "Day 2" operational support, administration, and integration guidance focused primarily on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and core infrastructure platforms.
This is a fully onsite position. You will act as a dedicated resource, working daily at the customer's Colorado Springs facility to tailor support for their environments, facilitate collaboration with other vendors, and serve as their primary Red Hat technical champion.

What you will do

● Onsite Presence: Work onsite daily at the customer facility in Colorado Springs, CO, functioning as a seamless extension of their IT and engineering operations.
● Proactive Issue Prevention: Perform technical reviews, system health checks, and capacity planning. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve OS-level issues before they impact mission-critical deployments.
● Customer Advocacy: Gain a deep understanding of the customer's infrastructure architecture, security postures, and strategic mission goals to serve as their primary Red Hat advocate.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Red Hat Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Support teams to debug, test, and resolve complex platform issues.
● Strategic Guidance: Advise the customer on current and future Red Hat infrastructure capabilities, standard operating procedures, and life-cycle management.
● Case Management: Manage customer support cases, maintain clear documentation, and deliver value by sharing resolutions and best practices through a defined knowledge management process.
What you bring
● Clearance: Active Secret (or higher) U.S. Government clearance is required.
● Platform Expertise: 5+ years of Linux system administration experience, with a strong focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting—particularly in secure, disconnected, or air-gapped environments.
● Support Background: Prior experience in a technical support, engineering, or system administration organization, specifically within public sector or defense environments.
● Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
● Agility: Ability to manage multiple environments and projects with an eye for detail and shifting priorities in a high-stakes environment.
● Availability: Willingness to provide after-hours coverage (on-call duty) as dictated by mission requirements.
