Job Description
The Associate Account Manager supports the Account Management and Sales team in servicing employed clients within a voluntary benefits brokerage environment. This role is focused on account administration, enrollment support, carrier coordination, and day-to-day client service activities. The position is ideal for someone early in their career who is highly organized, service-oriented, and interested in developing deep expertise in voluntary benefits operations and client management.
This role is open internally to all EBG Office locations.
Essential Functions:
- Support assigned Account Managers with day-to-day servicing of employer client accounts
- Assist with onboarding new clients supporting the Implementation Team as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain client documentation, benefit summaries, plan comparisons, and service records in Salesforce
- Track account activity, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure timely execution
- Serve as a point of contact for routine client requests and inquiries as needed
- Assist with eligibility updates, employee status changes, and plan administration questions
- Coordinate responses to client issues and escalate complex matters to the Account Manager
- Support ongoing client communications related to plan changes, enrollments, and administrative updates
- Assist the Sales team in coordinating requests for proposals and RFPs.
- Coordinate updates to Salesforce as requested.
- Complete other Sales cycle processes as requested.
- Communicate with insurance carriers and vendors regarding plan setup, eligibility, billing, and service issues
- Track carrier deliverables and follow up to ensure completion
- Maintain working knowledge of carrier processes, product features, and administrative requirements
- Maintain accurate client reporting from carriers into Salesforce.
- Support billing reconciliation, eligibility audits, and reporting needs
- Ensure accuracy of data in all client-facing materials
- Follow established processes to support consistency and service quality between clients, platforms, and carrier partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 1+ years of experience in account support or client services for employee benefits, insurance
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines
- Ability to travel as required for trainings and client support
