Job Description

Avid Acceptance is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our Account Servicing Department. This role is essential in managing delinquent customer accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, and reducing company losses. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem solver, and negotiator who enjoys working in a team environment and is committed to excellence in customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Contact customers regarding past-due accounts and assist in resolving outstanding balances.
Identify, track, and investigate delinquent accounts to determine the best course of action.
Work closely with customers to negotiate payment arrangements and guide them through repayment options.
Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and maintain positive relationships.
Use databases to monitor and update account status, including changes related to bankruptcies, repossessions, and other relevant events.
Complete Welcome Calls with new customers, ensuring they understand their payment options and account terms.
Monitor impounds and take necessary action to secure company collateral.
Validate and approve due date changes and deferments when necessary.
Assist with office duties and administrative tasks as needed.

Skills, Education, and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; bilingual skills are a plus.
Experience in collections or past-due payment recovery (preferred but not required).
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
High level of personal commitment and reliability.
Basic computer literacy and ability to use databases.
