ROLE OVERVIEW

The Account Manager leads the day-to-day execution of integrated communications programs for Luxury Travel, Hospitality and Real Estate clients. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, driving earned media results, supporting strategic planning, and ensuring operational excellence across accounts.

The Account Manager partners closely with senior leadership to translate brand objectives into thoughtful, culturally relevant storytelling, media engagement, and experiences that build lasting relevance and business impact.

This individual is both a strategic thinker and strong operator – someone who elevates the work, develops talent, and delivers results with consistency and accountability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Management & Strategy

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact across assigned accounts, ensuring proactive communication and strong relationship management.

  • Support the development and execution of integrated PR and communications strategies aligned to business objectives.

  • Anticipate client needs and identify opportunities to drive visibility, brand relevance, and cultural connection.

  • Provide thoughtful recommendations informed by industry, media, and consumer trends.

  • Contribute to annual planning, quarterly strategy, and ongoing program optimization.

Media Relations & Storytelling

  • Lead media outreach across travel, lifestyle, business, and luxury outlets, delivering meaningful placements and sustained coverage.

  • Oversee / Lead development of press materials including releases, pitches, media lists, briefing documents, and thought leadership.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key journalists, tastemakers, and cultural influencers.

  • Ensure storytelling reflects premium brand positioning and resonates within broader cultural conversations.

  • Identify new and emerging media opportunities across traditional and digital channels.

Experiential & Influencer Programs

  • Lead development and execution of events, brand experiences, and partnerships aligned to client goals.

  • Lead coordination of launches, influencer programs, and experiential activations.

  • Partner with digital and influencer teams to ensure integrated execution.

  • Ensure all programs are designed to generate content, earned media, and long-term brand equity.

Account Leadership & Operations

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and workflows to ensure high-quality output and efficiency.

  • Oversee budgets, tracking, and reconciliations in partnership with leadership.

  • Ensure all reporting is clear, strategic, and demonstrates impact.

  • Maintain accuracy across trackers, media results, and program documentation.

  • Identify ways to improve process, elevate work, and drive operational excellence.

Team Development

  • Mentor and manage junior team members, providing coaching, feedback, and clear expectations.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous learning.

  • Lead by example in professionalism, responsiveness, and ownership.

  • Support performance reviews and growth planning for direct reports.

Business Development & Agency Growth

  • Contribute to new business efforts including research, ideation, and proposal development.

  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and grow accounts.

  • Represent the agency in a polished and professional manner at industry events and client meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, preferably within travel, hospitality, luxury, and / or lifestyle.

  • Strong media relationships and demonstrated placement success.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience managing multiple clients and competing priorities.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Passion for premium brands, culture, hospitality, and storytelling.

  • Experience with influencer, experiential, and integrated programs is a plus.
