We are currently recruiting for an Account Manager to be based in our Nederland, TX office. As an Account Manager for STRUCTURAL, you’ll develop new and strengthen existing client relationships throughout the assigned accounts to pursue maintenance opportunities and secure fully executed contracts, purchase orders, and/or signed company proposals. All while supporting the company's vision to be the industry leader in developing and implementing technology-driven solutions to make new and existing structures stronger and last longer.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
Bringing the full capabilities of the company to the market and for securing work
Manage both the internal and external collaborative processes to ensure that our client's needs are met. Leveraging the capabilities of our Technologies and Operations teams while managing the client's fiscal requirements
Understanding and applying the sales process consistently and can manipulate sales process to gain strategic advantage.
Pursuing maintenance opportunities targeting reliability, inspection, maintenance engineering and other departments within account
Manages sales process on bid-build and negotiated projects with a low complexity, generally up to $500K. Supports pre-construction team (Estimating, Operations)
Serving as the primary point of contact with the customer for maintenance opportunities.
Participating in Sales and Technical Training program. Delivers technical presentations to explain products and services to customers and prospective customers
Maintaining involvement in industry trade association(s), trade shows, industry seminars, etc. to promote services and to learn about industry developments and trends
Documenting account activities and keeping records of business transactions with customers and suppliers through CRM system. Effectively utilizes the current CRM software for contact management, opportunity management, prospecting, planning, and forecasting
Working with sales leadership to write detailed Account Plans to develop new business; communicates company services and capabilities to potential customers; prospects and qualifies opportunities
Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
Demonstrating dedication to safety and quality control on all projects
Travel expectation is 25%
Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria for this exciting position:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
5+ years of relevant experience within sales and/or industrial construction/maintenance sales
Strong prospecting skills required to identify and engage account contacts with multiple departments, including the ability to introduce the company’s services to clients, gradually progressing to more advanced interactions
Demonstrates ability to develop strategy and collaborates with internal teams to develop deal strategy and proactively communicates critical information throughout the process
Demonstrates a working knowledge of customer markets and stays current with market knowledge within assigned accounts
Demonstrates ability to develop basic proposals. Develops, presents, or responds to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions
Strong ability to recognize alternative solutions and strategies that align with customer expectations and/or competitor offerings and consistently apply these as strategies in the sales process
